South Australian fashion designer and Young Australian of the Year 2017 Paul Vasileff has another show-stopping gown on the Oscars red carpet.
Tony winner, actress and singer Cynthia Erivo made her Oscars red carpet debut in the couture gown from Vasileff’s label, Paolo Sebastian.
The couture French lace corseted ball gown with pockets features embroidery from the label’s Snow Maiden collection, which was inspired by Russian folktales.
Having been named Young Australian of the Year 2017 earlier this year, Paul Vasileff and his label continue to go from strength to strength.
“For someone to choose to wear one of our gowns to the Oscars is an absolute honour,” designer Paul Vasileff said.
“As a South Australian label this is an incredible opportunity to have,” Vasileff said.
“Cynthia is such a talented young woman, and we are so proud to be working with her,” Vasileff said.
Paolo Sebastian previously dressed presenter Giuliana Rancic at the 2014 Oscars, and most recently styled Corinne Foxx, daughter of actor Jamie Foxx, at the 2016 Golden Globes.
The label is renowned for its dedication to the local Australian fashion industry, manufacturing couture garments in South Australia with a staff of fifteen.
